I am going against all conventional wisdom that says birth rates decrease during a recession. I am unequivocally, unscientifically, and anecdotally saying, “no, no, no.”
Birth rates are going up during this bad boy recession. It makes sense. What else is there to do if you have no job, can’t go shopping, and can’t afford to summer in Paris? That’s right, you have a StaySex-cation.
Why am I stating this? It is because we have been literally raining babies at work recently. Seriously, I caught one from the ceiling today. It has been non-stop amniotic fluid, lochia, placentas and newborns. Non-stop. A Birth Storm.
Anyone else seeing this Birth Storm? Any recession preggos out there? I believe babies are good for the economy. And job security for me. Keep it up. Trust me, I will be proven right that the birth rates have gone up this recession. Check back in 6 months to see if I’m right.
