More Octuplet Obsurdity

Posted by realityrounds on March 3, 2009

Is fifteen minutes up yet?  Ok, the po-po have been called to Octo Mom’s house a total of eight times in the  last 14 months.  That’s a typical average for any American home, right?  Instead of fighting crime the cops have visited Nayda for:  a child locked in a room, a lost child, front door wide open (twice), a neighbor concerned about the welfare of the kids, a child calling the police themselves for unknown reasons, a neighbor seeing a man with a gun, and for too much paparazzi on the premises.

Get it together Nayda!

A Diagnosis of “Octomom Hypocrisy”!

In an opinion article in Newsweek,  the  author discusses “Octomom Hypocrisy”!  It is like a new psychiatric condition that’s all the rage in the U.S.A. Raina Kelley talks about the “real” reasons Nayda Suleman drives us crazy.  It appears it is our own hypocrisy that makes some despise Nayda so much.  Here are  excerpts of the four symptoms reasons Raina Kelley diagnoses gives for her mentally challenged readers on why they loathe Octomom:

1. How the @#$% did she think she could support 14 children without a job? And why do we have to pay for her craziness?
Consider this: Maybe Suleman thought she’d get a TV show.

2. She wants to be Angelina Jolie!
Consider this: I want to be Angelina Jolie, too.

3. The woman misused IVF fertility treatments and wound up with eight babies at the same time, and she has six more kids under the age of 7 at home.
Consider this:Cable news and newspapers have been flooding us with experts on how many embryos should be implanted in a woman and so on and such.  And while the cost of IVF is usually mentioned, most of these experts conveniently forget to mention how few states “force” insurance companies to pay for IVF treatment. So the question really is how many embryos would you ask to be implanted if you had a history of miscarriages and limited funds? Odds are that you’d pick more than one; only 11 percent of IVF procedures in this country involve a single embryo.

4. Is the porno offer a creepy testament to her Angelina Joliefication, or what?
Consider this : We are all, each of us, one national scandal away from being offered a million dollars to star in a skin flick.

Please read the entire Newsweek article for the whole story.  Intersting stuff.

Now talk amongst yourselves.
